Biographical Text

One of a handful of visionary men in London in the early nineteenth century who believed in the proposed new Colony in South Australia. He was keen enough to answer a newspaper advertisement in 1834 and worked hard and voluntarily during the two years it would take before he set foot in Holdfast Bay, South Australia.
