Tír na nóg is the mythological ‘land of youth’ where Oisín, son of Finn Mac Cumhal lived for 300 years. Anxious to visit the land of mortals again, he rode a fairy horse, but on dismounting he forgot about the spell and on touching the ground he was turned into an old blind man
