Description

This property was named after Higginsbrook in County Meath, Ireland, the family home of Thomas Walker Higgins who was born in Sussex. He arrived in Adelaide in 1839 and after a short time working in the post office moved south to Currency Creek.

The Irish name, Ó hUigí, has a Viking connection. The sept was part of the Uí Néill (O’Neill) line that migrated to Connacht.
