Description

Now part of Cumberland Park, Cabra was named for the Dominican nuns whose headquarters is in Cabra, Dublin. The name cabrach in Irish means ‘poor land’. The Irish Dominican nuns first opened a school for the poor in Cabra, Ireland in 1820.
